UCF Conservatory Theatre: Parade

TD Production Notes: This production involved numerous wagons and a custom stitched, tattered, and dyed scrim. Most of the wagons ran on air lift casters with mini switches and built in PVC air tanks. The bulk of the decorative railings were CNC routed for free by a local production house. This provided an excellent educational experience for my student ATD, who prepped the drawings and observed their milling. The proscenium was surrounded with a metal framework adorned with printed portraiture and hundreds of cast plastic rivet heads. Inside the proscenium framework, a double purchase cable linkage raised and lowered two 6 x 8 ft. projection surfaces. The cables were pulled by two 36 inch throw pneumatic pistons controlled with solenoid valves cued from the light board.
