Biography

Z. S. Stribling, originally from Kentucky, received his BFA in Theatre from the University of Evansville and his MFA in Technical Production from The Florida State University. He begins his new position as the Faculty Technical Director at the University of Kentucky after a variety of professional experiences. He recently completed one academic year as a Visiting Assistant Professor at The Florida State University and prior to that enjoyed seven years teaching and technical directing at the University of Central Florida. In addition, he worked four seasons technical directing for the Adams and Randall L. Jones Theaters at the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival. While there he served as Technical Director for their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, featured in the USA Exhibit at the 2007 Prague Quadrennial Design Exhibition. He has also been recognized by the Kennedy Center's American College Theatre Festival for Excellence in Technical Direction.
